One of the fondest memories from my husbands childhood was when his parents first read him "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. Shel was able to catch a child's attention with his heart-filled poetry and imagination. His poetry can take you to another world, page by page, teaching great morals and responsibilities.
